Kujawsko-Pomorskie region has an excellent, strategic location in the heart of Europe, in the central part of Poland. A1 motorway connecting the north and south of the country as well as national roads No. 5 and 10, which in the next few years will be replaced by modern highways S10 and S5, run across the region. The region has two capitals: Bydgoszcz (administrative capital) and Toruń (self-government’s seat), which together form an agglomeration of 558 334 people.
Kujawsko-Pomorskie is the 10th region of the country in terms of population and area covered. It holds the 8th position in the country in the GDP generated. Kujawsko-Pomorskie is also a region with well developed industry producing many goods and providing services attractive for Polish and foreign partners. The region stands as a centre for modern: food processing, electromechanical, paper, chemical, electromechanical, plastics and automotive industries.
In addition to industrial potential, the region is also rich in natural resources and tourist attractions. There are health resorts and spas known to national and international customers in Ciechocinek and Inowrocław, opening the region for health-conscious visitors.
